The Nexus team is not just a group of data engineers. We are ex-organizers and industry veterans looking to simplify the process of data integration and consolidation. We understand the headaches caused by bad and disconnected data. The Nexus was built to make it easy for event organizers to make better use of the data they already have. We believe in Better Data – not more data.

The Founder and President of Nexus Data Group was the CEO of three housing and registration companies and saw the hundreds of thousands of data points that could provide valuable information, but only if there was an easy way to accurately integrate and update years of accumulated data along with current data. New technology solutions that were introduced to the events industry produced some helpful results, but they also created more silos of disconnected data.

As the internet developed and people became accustomed to personalized marketing, the need for personalization in the events industry became clear. That is why we developed The Nexus – the first and only Data Integration Platform specifically designed for the events industry. Our goals were very clear:

1. Create an easy and accurate way to clean and synchronize all event data. After working with many of the top event organizers, we recognized the problem of ‘dirty’ event data, such as invalid/fake/shared emails, name variations, people changing jobs, incomplete/corrupted data, and people getting multiple badges. The platform needed to produce one unified record per person, containing the most accurate and updated information.
2. The data on the platform needs to be dynamic, with accurate updates from multiple sources at the same time. Event organizers want to keep the vendors and tools that are working for them. The platform must be able to pull in new data.
3. The platform needs to drive dynamic personalized marketing. The platform must be able to push out dynamic lists and personalized data to all marketing channels at pre-scheduled intervals.
